Journalist Juan Jesús reported that Flick views De Jong as a crucial player in his tactical setup and is considering repositioning him as a center-back.
Flick has already tested De Jong alongside Cubarsí in recent training sessions.
With Christensen sidelined by injury and recurring physical problems, De Jong is viewed as an excellent option at center-back. This is a position he played during his youth career and early days at Ajax, and he has experience in the role.
