Mourners attended Sevilla's Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium on Sunday to pay tribute to Jose Antonio Reyes.
The former Arsenal and Atletico Madrid striker died in a car crash on Saturday morning near his hometown of Utrera.
His funeral will take place on Monday morning in the footballer's native town of Utrera after thousands of fans and well-wishers have had a chance to say their last goodbyes.
It has been reported that Reyes' 23-year-old cousin Jonathan also died in the accident, while Juan Manuel Calderon was taken to hospital with 60 per cent burns.
Reyes reportedly on his way home to his wife and three children after training, having not been picked by current club Extremadura to play against Cádiz.
The striker's son Jose Antonio Reyes Jr, the eldest of three children, also paid tribute to his father, thanking him in an emotional letter.
Writing in Spanish, his son said: 'This is the last moment we have spent together dad.
'That day you gave me advice as you always do, but today you've gone to not come back and it's a very hard day for me!
'I was and I will always be very proud of you dad.
'We did not spend all the time we wanted together but only you and I know how much we loved each other!
'I know that from heaven you will take care of me and I will never forget you!
'I love you Papa!'
