Rodri scored Barcelona's second goal just before halftime to restore their lead in a 5-2 away victory over Real Betis. The influential midfielder spoke to DAZN after the match.
On scoring your first goal for Barcelona
I'm very pleased and happy with the win. This is one of the toughest away grounds in LaLiga, and Real Betis were in great form and played well today. I'm satisfied with my goal; we were going through a difficult spell, and it helped us settle down. The team showed its attacking quality, but we gave our opponents too many chances, and we need to improve in that area.

I rarely comment on pitch conditions, but today's surface was very difficult to play on, making it hard for us to move the ball around. While that's no excuse, we took better control of the game after that, though the pitch conditions weren't ideal.
Yamal's brilliant goal
Lamine Yamal's goal was beautiful; we've become accustomed to seeing such moments from him. There's not much more to add: players like him are match-winners. Beyond his goals, though, I value his defensive work and his link-up play with his teammates. He did face some provocation from the opposition, but I'm not sure how significant it was.
On Real Betis's handball incident and the red card
Lo Celso found the net with a long-range shot in the first half, but the goal was disallowed for Cucho's handball.
Facundo Bernal headbutted Yamal.
I saw the handball. It was an unnatural movement, and you have to respect the referee's decision. I didn't see the red-card incident; I only saw Lamine on the ground, so something clearly happened, but I'm not entirely sure what.
