Rodrigo Riquelme is another star at Atletico

With only a single Atletico Madrid B game under his belt, but having been key for the club's youth teams, Rodrigo Riquelme boarded the bus to Los Angeles de San Rafael this past summer and he has been in Diego Simeone's plans ever since.

Simeone called upon him after an impressive season with the Juvenil team last term, in which he didn't lose a match and reached the Copa del Rey final for his age category.

He then went to the United States and even got the call for the Leganes game on Sunday, before being left off the list at the last minute.

Riquelme is a wide player who can also operate as a centre-forward if needed.

His right foot is elegant and he never looks flustered in front of goal.

Beyond his youth team performances, Riquelme has put in the work in training and has shown supreme confidence since making the step up.

He never hesitates to ask for the ball, he dares to look for passes and he's often praised by Mono Burgos and Profe Ortega.

At 19 years of age, there's little doubt that he's still young, but it cannot be disputed that he is a promising talent.
