Rodrygo: It's a dream come true to hear the Bernabeu singing my name

Rodrygo Goes is in dreamland after scoring a Champions League hat-trick for Real Madrid.

The 18-year-old netted three goals in Los Blancos' 6-0 win over Galatasaray at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night.

"It's a dream come true to hear the Bernabeu sing my name," Rodrygo told Movistar after the match.

"I'm happy and it's a very happy night.

"But I have to stay calm and be relaxed.

"Everything is going much quicker than what I expected when I arrived [at Real Madrid].

"But I'm trying to stay calm and continue working day by day."

As a reward for his hat-trick Rodrygo gets to keep the match ball, which his Real Madrid teammates have signed for him.

"I'm sure that what they've put on the ball is very nice because my teammates are good people and they give me lots of confidence," he said.

Rodrygo is beginning to strike up a profitable partnership with Karim Benzema in attack and he set up the Frenchman for his first goal against Galatasaray.

"Karim makes everything easier," Rodrygo said.

"He's an amazing player and I'm very happy to play alongside him."
