Roma hosted Real Madrid in the Champions League. Mourinho led Real Madrid back to the Stadio Olimpico, and Roma fans displayed several banners to pay tribute to their former coach.
One banner in the Curva Sud read: "To the man who brought glory to Roma, Roma will forever salute him."
Another banner in the Curva Tevere read: "In the eyes of the world, you are the Special One; in the heart of Roma, you are an immortal legend. Tribute to Coach Mou!"
After the first half, Roma drew 1-1 with Real Madrid, with Vinícius Júnior and Mbappé scoring the goals.
