Ivan Zazzaroni, editor-in-chief of Corriere dello Sport, discussed Mourinho and former Serie A referee designator Gianluca Rocchi during a radio program.
"Mourinho is in great shape. He had some regrets after his time at Atlético Madrid, but what I saw was a fantastic Mou. When he took off his training kit and gave it to me, that was a particularly wonderful gesture. 'I have it, you don't,' he told Caressa – and it wasn't the first time he'd given me a gift. I truly love him; it's impossible not to," Ivan Zazzaroni said on Radio Dee Jay when speaking about the former Inter coach. He had interviewed the Portuguese coach in the past few hours and spoke about meeting him again.
"To those who say that only Ordine speaks the truth, I say that he is my friend and he also works with my newspaper. You think the truth is only what you want to hear. But I say the Rocchi matter has nothing to do with Inter – that's what I think. If you don't believe me, I don't care about the insults, because I've received too many and I'm used to them, and I find them quite ridiculous. Rocchi to DAZN? It took him a long time to decide. He wanted to return to his field of refereeing, but how could he move forward? In fact, he doesn't need to clear anything; the judiciary has already done it for him. In short, this is an opportunity someone gave him, and he will take it. He was originally a candidate for the president of the Italian Referees' Association but was harshly removed because of this incident. The refereeing world ostracized him. I hope he can find his way back and fight back, and I hope the full truth comes to light." He said this in response to a listener who was arguing with him about the Rocchi matter and attacking him.
