Roma winger Carles Pérez made it clear that he didn't like Barcelona's treatment of him, which saw him join Roma in January from the Catalan giants. The forward spoke in an interview with David de las Herras on YouTube.
"It was a bit tough," said Perez. "I have a bad time of it, with my family at home. I didn't understand it. It hurt me more because of how I behaved with them for so many years. After the year in the Segunda A I had offers from other clubs like Benfica but in the end I decided to stay in the Segunda B with Garcia Pimienta to try and make it to the first team. And the next year was the same, I had offers, but I always said no, just as when I was in the youth categories, teams like Chelsea, offering a lot of money. I never left, I preferred to stay there."
"It hurt me more because of that. In the end I accomplished my dream, I was with these players, I was able to score, but it hurts you that they treat you like this after what you did for them. That's what hurt me. I can understand the club or coach taking the decision for their necessities.
"I'm grateful for Barca because everything I learned there helped me arrive in Rome; when I started I didn't know what I know now. But it hurts me a bit the behaviour they had with me."
