According to Romano, Atletico defender Lodi will join Marseille for €13m transfer fee plus 20% future transfer fee.
Marseille are very close to wrapping up a €13m deal to sign Atlético Madrid left-back and Brazil international Renan Lodi (25), according to a report this afternoon from L’Equipe. The 25-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements with the Colchoneros as he was allowed to spend the most recent campaign on loan at Premier League side Nottingham Forest. It would be quite a smart signing for the Marcelino-led Marseille squad, given Lodi’s experience. The 16-times Brazil international was tied to Atlético Madrid with a contract set to expire in 2026.
Foot Mercato add that there will be a 20% sell-on percentage fee clause included in the deal.
The French publication understand that Les Phocéens are in the market for three full-backs. Portuguese left-back Nuno Tavares returned to parent club Arsenal after spending last season at Marseille on loan whilst Sead Kolašinac left on a free to sign for Atalanta. Lodi would be the second Marseille signing of this summer transfer window after defensive midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, who also joined from Atlético Madrid.
Romano:
Renan Lodi to Olympique Marseille, it’s done and here we go! Full agreement in place with Atlético Madrid, documents being signed.
Contract also agreed as Renan Lodi has accepted OM as next destination.
Medical being booked, deal sealed.

Buying him for 22 and selling for 13 yet they kept Versaljko even after his career threatening injury… and this guy who just like Ciao Henrique and maybe Mollejo and Camello and even Roro Riquelme and Iturbe and Valera…. And EVEN MANU SANCHEZ for Galan is why i don’t get how they don’t give youngsters a pathway into the team won’t happen with Simeone because HE HATES YOUNGSTERS!!! LOL IF THE TEAM WAS ACTUALLY A CHALLENGING TEAM and not a team that only strives for 3RD place and Simeone IS THE HIGHEST PAID MANAGER and does NOTHING for the future of the club only extends the average age!!!!
