Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano released his latest video on his podcast channel, discussing Como midfielder Nico Paz.
Romano said: "In Como's match against Manchester United, the key player who completely changed the course of the game was undoubtedly Nico Paz, and he deservedly won the Player of the Match award. UEFA has just announced the results of this week's Champions League Player of the Week voting, with Phil Foden ranking first and Nico Paz second. Nico Paz's performance for Como this season has been phenomenal, directly contributing to five goals in just three Champions League appearances. For a young player representing Como, this is a very special achievement. "
"Regarding Nico Paz, I want to remind everyone of a few very important things. First, we must congratulate Como for their faith in this player and for successfully signing him. Last summer, Real Madrid wanted to bring Nico Paz back to the club and intended to make him a significant new signing, but it was Nico Paz himself, along with Como, who chose to stay at Como rather than return to Real Madrid. "
"Although Nico Paz chose to remain at Como, this does not mean he rejected Real Madrid, because Nico Paz loves Real Madrid deeply. However, he believes that staying at Como to play regularly, develop steadily, participate in the Champions League, and take on the role of the team's number 10 is better than returning to Real Madrid and sitting on the bench surrounded by world-class attackers. "
"Therefore, Como made a significant investment, and the Como management and Fàbregas deserve credit for their efforts in keeping Nico Paz; this was certainly not easy. Nico Paz ultimately chose to stay at Como, but Real Madrid retains a buy-back clause for him. This is news I exclusively revealed in late June and early July: the buy-back clause retained by Real Madrid is approximately 80 million euros, which means Real Madrid still controls the player's future. "
"From 2027 onward, Real Madrid will clearly continue to communicate with Nico Paz and his agents to understand everyone's future plans. While it's too early to discuss specific details, this also shows Real Madrid fans that the club retains considerable influence over future negotiations regarding Nico Paz. "
"Although 80 million euros is a substantial buy-back fee, it's worth noting that Real Madrid already received approximately 60 million euros when they sold Nico Paz to Como. Therefore, the net difference in transfer fees is only around 20 million euros. More importantly, Nico Paz is rapidly becoming one of European football's top stars. Let's wait and see what happens next. "
"Como is currently enjoying having Nico Paz. The chemistry between Nico and head coach Fàbregas is perfect; their relationship is very harmonious. Real Madrid is continuously monitoring every step of this Argentine talent's development, and I will continue to bring you the latest updates as always. ""

The problem with Real Madrid is they don’t have patience, they are not ready to develop a player and keep, they either loan him or sell him, ancelotti was ready to loan or sell arda, thank goodness he showed his ability early on so that he couldn’t get loaned. Look at barca although they are rivals but one thing I appreciate about them is they developed their squad mostly from their academy, although they had financial issues but they trusted their academy players in big stages and they delivered. Now nico Paz is that kind of player where Madrid are not gonna miss out in future, I hope Madrid doesn’t make this kind of mistakes again
