Romero will wear Atletico's no. 21 jersey, not no. 3

Official news, Atletico Madrid's new signing Cristian Romero will wear the team's No. 21 jersey.

Beijing time (CEST) on August 20th, Atletico Madrid held an unveiling ceremony for their new signing Cristian Romero.

At the unveiling ceremony, the Argentine center-back and club president Cerezo held up the No. 21 jersey, revealing his jersey number at Atletico Madrid, despite the La Liga official website previously announcing that he would be Atletico Madrid's No. 3 player for the new season.

Romero wore the No. 17 jersey for Tottenham last season.
