Ronald Koeman doesn't believe that Barcelona will be affected by their remarkable Champions League exit when they face Valencia in the Copa del Rey final on Saturday.
Koeman won four LaLiga titles and the Champions League during his time as a player at Barcelona and is the last coach to win a trophy with Valencia - the Copa del Rey 11 years ago.
"I don't think Barcelona are distracted," Koeman told MARCA. "Their players have a lot of experience and this squad has always shown that it has the desire to win titles. I don't think they'll play with a different mentality.
"This is a unique match. Lots of things can happen in a final. For me, Barcelona are favourites, but it's not a foregone conclusion because Valencia have players that can cause an upset in 90 minutes.
"Furthermore, this is the best Valencia team in years. If it was a two-legged tie, I would see Barcelona as very much the favourites, but being a final, you can't rule out a shock."
It's been two weeks since Barcelona were humiliated at Anfield in the Champions League, letting their three-goal lead slip in emphatic fashion.
"I'm not going to analyse that game," Koeman said. "It has nothing to do with me. The only thing I can say is that, on the whole, Liverpool were the best team over the two legs. Liverpool are a very, very strong team."
