Adolfo Marín, the Brazilian crack lawyer, spoke for the Argentine newspaper Clarín.
Adolfo Marín, Ronaldinho's lawyer, spoke for the daily Argentine Clarín, after Judge Gustavo Amarilla decreed house arrest for former Brazilian footballer, who was imprisoned for entering Paraguay with fake passports.
Marín made it clear that “we cannot know how long Ronaldinho will be in Paraguay”.
The lawyer explained that Ronnie “is very well, trusts fully in the Paraguayan justice system, so he made that deposit in cash. The possibility of bail had been offered earlier, but the judge understood that the investigation was in an incipient state. That's why we had to wait until we got home,” he explained.
When consulted if Ronaldinho knows that he made a mistake, the lawyer replied that “he is totally subject to the mandates of the Justice, took note the level of seriousness of the case. For me, it's a real big one. Like Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. And very humble. Ronaldinho wants us to be straight and firm, he does not seek to present any delaying action,” Marín explained.
Finally, Marín made it clear that he has no idea how long Ronaldinho will have to follow in Paraguay. “For the duration of the process, you must remain there. You can use the facilities, but do not go out on the street or you would be violating the restriction,” he concluded.
