Ronaldo Nazario rewards his Valladolid players mobiles for victory vs Espanyol

Ronaldo Nazario continues to encourage his team to fight to avoid relegation, and after having rewarded them with a trip to Formentera for doing so last summer, he has now given his squad mobile phones and plane tickets for the victory against Espanyol.

The victory over the Barcelona club was hugely important for Real Valladolid, as it moved them further away from the dreaded drop-zone in the LaLiga Santander standings.

As reported by 'La 8 de Valladolid' the former Real Madrid forward gave each player involved in the victory a new iPhone and some plane tickets as a reward for earning a potentially vital three points.

It seems unusual to gift incredibly wealthy athletes things they could quite easily afford themselves, or may indeed already have, but it's the nature of the gesture which is important and shows a connection between the former Inter goalscorer and his team.
