After Brazil was eliminated by Norway in the FIFA World Cup Round of 16, Brazilian media criticized head coach Ancelotti, and legendary player Ronaldo also publicly accused him of making poor decisions.
The Brazilian team suffered a heavy blow in the FIFA World Cup Round of 16, exiting the tournament prematurely. The failure was particularly cruel as the Brazilian team had high hopes for a sixth star, but Haaland stood in their way. The Brazilian media was relentless in their criticism of this early exit, with strong reactions emerging immediately after the final whistle.
"I think this elimination started with decisions made on the coaching bench," Ronaldo began his attack. "Ancelotti is one of the best coaches in football history, but tonight he made too many mistakes. I still don't understand why João Pedro wasn't in the squad – he's been performing brilliantly and is in great form this season, and Brazil really needs a striker who can offer something different. And look at Endrick, every time he's played in this FIFA World Cup, he's brought energy, aggression, and unpredictability, but he spent most of the time on the bench. I can't comprehend it."
Ronaldo also singled out Vinicius for criticism: "Vinicius also needs to take responsibility. Everyone knows how talented he is, but this FIFA World Cup wasn't a good one for him. He never showed the dominant performance he delivers at his club. When Brazil needed its brightest star to step up, he failed to truly dictate the game. Norway deserved the victory; they were organized and disciplined, and Haaland punished every mistake. But Brazil helped their opponents with poor decisions even before the match began. At this level, one or two mistakes can end your entire FIFA World Cup journey. There were too many mistakes tonight."
Felipe Melo said on Sportv: "I understand the coach has his principles, but I would have started Neymar. Neymar might have scored the first penalty, and the game would have been completely different." Romario left the stadium dejected: "I'm very sad; this is the responsibility of the players on the field and the coach. This is not the Brazil we know."
Globo Esporte called the exit an "end" and noted that Brazil had completed its worst FIFA World Cup since 1990. The media also reviewed previous eliminations, pointing out that this was the sixth time they had been knocked out by a European team. In player ratings, Vinicius was criticized for "having good moments but failing to decide the game as he had at other times in this tournament." Endrick received the worst rating: "He received a perfect pass from Vinicius but handled it very poorly when facing the goalkeeper." Ancelotti was also criticized: "The team lacked options in attack and seemed helpless in the later stages of the game, unable to prevent the elimination."
Other Brazilian media headlines were equally harsh. Folha de S.Paulo wrote: "Brazil falls, the dream of a sixth title shattered." Placar directly criticized: "Brazil fails again." ESPN Brazil focused on Haaland: "Brazil watched Haaland destroy them in 10 minutes."
External attention also focused on Guimarães's missed opening penalty. Placar noted that he had only taken 4 penalties in his career so far, while Folha de S.Paulo mentioned that he was the first Brazilian player to miss a penalty in the FIFA World Cup since 1986.
International media were also unforgiving. French newspaper L'Équipe wrote: "Haaland makes Brazil cry." British media were relatively restrained: "Haaland's brace sees Norway eliminate Brazil." Italy's La Gazzetta dello Sport highlighted Haaland's performance with a highly impactful headline: "Haaland is greater than Brazil!"

Ancelotti doesn't have any tactics. His plans is always depending on players to make the difference. He is always biased with his selections. Why did Joao Pedro not make the list?

You question Ancelotti now because Brazil is out, why didn't you question. him before now?
true! Without Ancelloti, Brazil would have crashed out of Qualifying. Remember Brazil finishes 5th at the WC Qualification, how can they expect them to reach even Semi Final.

Brazil lost the world cup long before it started, ancelotti appointment was wrong, his squad selection for the world cup was wrong, the tactics and formation he choose to play isn't with the strength of what Brazil is used to, when and where have you ever seen Brazil playing counter attack football,

I understand their sentiments, but leaving João Pedro is the major mistake Ancelotti made. Endrick only offered a few minutes of fluidity when he comes on and he's too self-centred. You can't win games that way. Felipe's talking about starting Neymar? 😂 That's ridiculous. Taking him to the WC was more about his celebrity status than footballing relevance. Vini has proven himself as a good PK taker in Madrid and the one Neymar scored wasn't even good. No doubt Neymar was a fantastic footballer, but those days are over like some others we know.

Brazil squandered their chances. This is not a matter of why is this player not in the squad or in the starting eleven. The players are the ones to blame here and ill luck

Not until Brazil goes back to their traditional style of football, they will not win the world Cup. European football has destroyed the Samba the world is used to. Let them select their team from home based players.

Anceloti is to be blamed; why leave JP out of the squad . JP alone can offer Brazil a number 9 and 8 cox he knows how to play with the team . Plus I don’t think the formation 4-4-2 is working for them. With JP they will play 443 and Vini playing his natural left wing; Endrick can play from right wing also. An attack of Vini-JP-Endrick could have been fire 🔥
