Ronaldo's free-kick prowess hitting the headlines in Italy - He missed all 24

The Portuguese striker has elected to take 24 of the direct free kicks awarded to Juventus in a goal scoring position and missed all 24.

After last weekend's Juventus-Verona match, debate surrounding who should take the direct free kicks for Sarri's side in dangerous areas is ongoing. Cristiano Ronaldo is normally the first player to seize the ball with Miralem Pjanic occasionaly called upon to take the dead balls.

In Serie A, Cristiano has now missed 18 back-to-back free-kicks but has yet to break the Serie A record held by Frosinone's Camillo Ciano who was off target on 21 occasions last season.

There is now a call from certain quarters of the media and bianconeri fans to let Pjanic be the nominated free-kick taker for fouls close to the area.
