Atletico Madrid's injury list has grown yet again, with Stefan Savic injurying his thigh during Tuesday's training session.
With Jose Maria Gimenez suspended for this weekend's match against Celta Vigo and with Lucas Hernandez out injured for the remainder of the season, Savic was in line for a start in the next match in central defence.
However, he'll now need to wait to see how serious the injury is.
"Savic underwent an MRI scan at the Universidad of Navarra Clinic on Tuesday that revealed a contracture in the ischiosural muscles of the thigh," a club statement revealed on Tuesday evening.
"The defender is pending response to treatment."
