According to the latest report from SER radio, Vinícius still hopes his net annual salary will match Mbappé's, and currently there has been no progress in renewal negotiations.
It is reported that Real Madrid hopes to restart contract renewal talks with Vinícius in January. The player still aims for a net annual salary of €30 million, equal to Mbappé’s, but Real Madrid believes it will now be easier to convince him following Xabi Alonso’s departure.
The main reason is that Vinícius and Xabi Alonso did not get along particularly well, and Vinícius even considered leaving the club at the end of the season if Alonso had remained as coach.
However, Vinícius is now unhappy due to being booed, and after the match against Monaco, he did not celebrate his goal with the fans. He feels dissatisfied, so nothing has changed for now.
Moreover, since Xabi Alonso’s departure, Real Madrid has made no new offers or contact regarding Vinícius. Although the relationship between the player and Alonso was not the best, there are currently no plans for a meeting with the club in the near future.
Arbeloa’s comments pleased Vinícius and made him feel valued; however, despite potential interest from other clubs—whether from Saudi Arabia or elsewhere—there has been no movement whatsoever.
He neither wants to leave nor has received any new offers. He currently holds Real Madrid’s previous renewal proposal but is not satisfied with it, and there has been no new contact or improved offer that would make him accept.
It could be said that the boos have not negatively affected him, nor did yesterday’s applause positively influence him. He will not make an impulsive decision regarding his contract renewal; instead, the player is still waiting for Real Madrid to present a higher offer closer to his expectations.
Although there has been no new contact between the two sides, negotiations have not broken down either. There is no more communication than before, but both parties clearly understand the status of the talks. They do not believe Vinícius will refuse to renew and are confident that a financially agreeable deal will ultimately be reached.
Real Madrid believes the contract will be signed by the end of the season, with financial terms satisfactory to both sides, and the club remains firmly convinced that renewing Vinícius is the best choice both sporting-wise and economically.

Am anti-Vinicius bcos of some of his silly, childish displays and behaviour on the pitch. But here am on his side, he deserves just as much, IF NOT MORE, pay as Mbappe, he has been at RM for more seasons and has done, contributed more and is just as important as Mbappe.
