Barcelona boss Quique Setien says his club wants Miralem Pjanic because he is a ‘great player’ and is ‘happy’ to still have Arturo Vidal at his disposal.
Pjanic has emerged as a top target for Barca in recent weeks, and Setien made it clear he was a big fan of the Juventus midfielder.
“I always say that I like all great players,” he told beIN Sports.
“Pjanic’s a great player, although there are also great players that we see in the newspapers every day.”
Vidal has been heavily linked with making way for the 30-year-old and moving to Inter, but the coach would rather he stayed put.
“He’s a player who certainly has positive qualities and brings positive energy.
“He’s a great player in terms of performance and behaviour and we’re happy to have him with us.”

pjanic is a nice player but swapping him with Arthur melo, who is still young and have a long future ahead is what matters. moreover Barca has a lot of midfielders and even loaning out some to gain more minutes of playing. I prefer the should quit any deal and focus on their defense line, the lack a lot in defense
