Sevilla 2-0 Granada: Luuk De Jong & Nolito lift gosts to close gap to top

Sevilla closed the gap to the top of the La Liga table after a comfortable 2-0 victory over Granada.

Sevilla and Granada arrived at this game after suffering a defeat in their previous league game. Sevilla faced the match with a desire to make up their league after losing 2-1 against Real Madrid while Granada fell defeated by 1-0 in the last match they played against Barcelona. Following today's result, Sevilla and Granada occupy position 3rd (38 points) and 12th (27 points) respectively after playing a total of 21 matches.

Good start of the game for Sevilla, with a goal from Luuk De Jong 11 minutes in the game. Later, Sevilla scored once more and increased their advantage 2-0 thanks to a goal from Nolito 34 minutes in the game, thereby seeing the first half to a 2-0.

Sevilla and Granada were struggling to produce anything in the second half and the teams went to the dressing room locked in a 2-0.

As for substitutions, both coaches used full substitutions. For Sevilla, Nemanja Gudelj, Jules Kounde and Youssef En-Nesyri came on for Franco Vazquez, Nolito and Lucas Ocampos, while Granada brought on Dimitri Foulquier, Alvaro Vadillo and Jesus Vallejo to replace Yan Eteki, Darwin Machis and Domingos Duarte.

The referee booked Franco Vazquez, Diego Carlos, Fernando and Sergi Gomez from Sevilla, while for Granada Antonio Puertas saw a yellow card as well.

Granada and Sevilla will play at home stadium against Espanyol and Alavés respectively.
