Sevilla are looking to secure a cut-price deal for Alexis Sanchez from Inter Milan this summer, according to reports.
Sevilla, who have been known for signing emerging talents down the years, have drifted slightly away from that philosophy in recent times by bringing in Ivan Rakitic last summer and Papu Gomez in January.
And now Spanish publication Sport, quoting media reports from Italy, claim Sevilla want to add Inter's 32-year-old forward Sanchez to their ranks in the upcoming transfer window.
Sanchez, who has a contract at Inter until the summer of 2023 and receives roughly £6million-a-year at the club, would not usually be viewed as an attractive proposition for the LaLiga outfit.
However, given Inter's financial predicament at the moment, Sevilla are looking to capitalise and swoop for the Chilean forward.
Inter currently need to bring their wage budget down by 20 per cent, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, with the club needing to sell a host of players - generating around £86.5m - in order to stay afloat.
And it was Inter's financial mess which led to Antonio Conte sensationally quitting as manager just weeks after sealing their first Serie A title triumph in 11 years.
So Sanchez could be one of those Inter are willing to sell to raise essential funds following the alarming impact of the Covid pandemic.
And the report goes onto claim that Sevilla, who finished fourth in LaLiga and will be competing in the Champions League next season, are viewed as a desirable destination for Sanchez.
Sanchez is no stranger to Spanish football, having starred at European giants Barcelona between 2011 and 2014, scoring 46 goals in 141 matches.
The Chile international then sealed a move to Arsenal, where he flourished under Arsene Wenger and was heralded as one of the best players in the Premier League.
However, Sanchez would controversially move to Manchester United in January 2018, and since his switch to Old Trafford - he has struggled to reach the same heights.
Sanchez endured a horrid time at United, scoring just five times in 45 matches before he eventually ended his nightmare by initially signing for Inter on loan prior to making the deal permanent in the summer of 2020.
And while he hasn't reached the best of his levels at the San Siro, he has returned to some form and helped Inter secure the Serie A crown by scoring seven times and creating five assists in 30 matches for the club.

A return back to where it all started,Seville seems to be the very best option for Sanchez even if they can't win the league, there's every possibility of them winning the Europa league something which would add value to Sanchez cabinet
