Sevilla midfielder Maxime Gonalons has fractured the head of his right fibula

Roma midfielder Maxime Gonalons, currently on loan at Sevilla, has fractured the head of his right fibula.

The France international was diagnosed with the injury following a collision in training.

“Sevilla's medical team confirmed that Gonalons had suffered a fracture on the head of his right fibula but without dislocation,” read a statement.

“The club is waiting on further development, but the player faces missing out on the next few games.”

The 29-year-old joined Sevilla on loan without an option to buy.

He has already made four appearances for the Spanish side, scoring one goal.
