Loïc Badé signed this Friday, at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, a contract that binds him to Sevilla until June 2027, after the Andalusian club executed the option to buy him that was agreed with the French club Stade Rennais in the loan deal that took him to the Spanish club in January.

Badé, as Sevilla announced in a statement on Friday, will be at the club for at least "the next four seasons".

"In his half-season as a 'blanquirrojo' he played 27 official games, divided into nineteen La Liga matches, six in the UEFA Europa League - including the final won in Budapest against Roma - as well as two in the Copa del Rey. In them he also scored two goals of enormous value, the one that opened the scoring in the league win at Mestalla and, just a few days later, the second goal in the second leg of the UEL quarter-final against Manchester United," added Sevilla in their statement.

The centre-back will also play, in a few weeks, the European Under-21 Championship in Romania, for which he has been called up by French coach Sylvain Ripoll. Les Bleus are in group D of the tournament, in which they will face Italy, Norway and Switzerland for a place in the quarter-finals.

Loïc Badé is the third defensive signing Sevilla have secured for the 2023/24 season, having previously signed left-back Adrià Pedrosa from Espanyol and Argentinian centre-back Federico Gattoni from San Lorenzo de Almagro at the end of their respective contracts.
