Sevilla's Correia: Messi is my idol, I learned a lot from Ronaldo

According to reports, Sevilla's new signing Felix Correia recently gave an interview to the club's official media. The 25-year-old Portuguese winger said he is ready to play and discussed his playing style, preferred positions, and football idols including Messi and Ronaldo.

Correia joined Sevilla on loan from Lille this summer. Reflecting on his arrival, he said: "I'm very happy and eager to play. I've had some training sessions with my teammates, and they've welcomed me well. The coach wished me good luck and encouraged me to work hard."

"I'm ready to play in Sunday's match against Espanyol. I played recently, so I can help the team. I hope to achieve great things with this club."

At just 25, Correia has already played for Man City, Juventus, and Lille, gaining experience across Portugal, France, Italy, and the Netherlands.

On his playing style, Correia said: "Although I'm only 25, I already have considerable experience. I arrived at Sevilla in excellent mental condition."

"I'm an intelligent player. I fight for possession, I'm aggressive in physical battles, and I never give up. This mindset is very important. I know 'never give up' is also Sevilla's motto, so I hope to integrate well here."

Correia also noted his positional versatility: "I like to play on the left wing and as an attacking midfielder behind the striker."

"I really like La Liga. I often watch La Liga matches on TV, not just Real Madrid and Barcelona. I watched Sevilla's away match in Bilbao, and I was impressed by the team's performance."

Discussing his football idols, Correia said: "Among active players, I really admire Dembélé. Among past players, I like Robinho, Ronaldinho, Zidane, and Neymar... but Messi is most important—he's my biggest idol."

"Of course, Cristiano Ronaldo is also someone I admire. I was his teammate at Juventus, and I learned a lot from him."

Correia has yet to experience Sevilla's home stadium, Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, during a match.

He said: "I've only seen it on TV before, but in two weeks I'll experience the atmosphere here in person."

"I hope the fans will support us, because we will always fight and never give up. We'll take it step by step and battle for every three points."
