According to an exclusive report by Spanish journalist Jose Alvarez Haya from La Sexta, Alvarez once again negotiated with head coach Simeone today, hoping to transfer to Barcelona.
According to the reporter, "the forward has submitted a transfer request, telling Simeone that he wants to play for Barcelona. Simeone rejected him and told him to talk to the board."
French journalist Sebastian Vidal has also confirmed that Alvarez only wants to join Barcelona and has once again expressed his desire to leave Atletico Madrid to Simeone. In response, the Argentine coach stated that he still needs Alvarez and does not want him to leave.
