According to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich have received good news ahead of tonight's match against Atletico Madrid: captain Manuel Neuer has been cleared to return. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, he will start the game.
Neuer had previously been struggling with a tendon inflammation in his foot, which kept him out of Bayern's last three matches: a 3-1 win over Freiburg, a 6-1 win over Magdeburg and a 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund.
The goalkeeper is now fit to play again and is expected to return to the starting lineup against Atletico Madrid.
