According to reporter Patrick Berger, Dortmund would rather have Schlotterbeck on a free transfer than sell him for less than €25-30 million.

According to reports, Nico Schlotterbeck is still playing the waiting game, hoping for an opportunity at Barcelona, Real Madrid, or Bayern Munich. Sources close to him suggest that not extending his contract with Borussia Dortmund is currently more likely. An offer has been on the table for weeks…

Borussia Dortmund still has a glimmer of hope and wants clarity by January at the latest, but hasn't yet put the pressure on the player. Dortmund would likely take a similarly firm stance to Leverkusen's handling of Tah's departure. For €25-30 million – with only one year remaining on his contract – coaches Ricken and Kehl would absolutely not let the defensive star go. They would even accept the risk of losing him on a free transfer in 2027.

At Bayern Munich, Schlotterbeck, like Guéhi, remains a candidate. However, extending Upamecano's contract is clearly the priority.
