Eddie Howe leaves Newcastle United.
The decision has been taken following discussions with the club’s hierarchy over the last 48 hours although Howe had started the ball rolling on a potential departure a number of weeks ago.
Howe told his coaching staff of his decision when he got back from Bristol last night in the early hours.
Newcastle have already had a challenging summer after the sales of Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon and that continues with uncertainty over their captain Bruno Guimaraes.
Those sales have played a factor in Howe’s decision amid concerns about what the squad will look like at the start of the new campaign.
Howe has spent a number of months reflecting on his time at Newcastle and believed he could take the club forward this season, providing Newcastle recruited well this summer.
German manager Matthias Jaissle of Al-Ahli is the foreign-runner to replace Howe…talks have taken place.

it's an obvious move from the NUFC hierarchy by selling all good players they new that's the only way to get rid of Howe and replace him with Matthias Jaissie from their Saudi pro league sister club Al-Ahli....

your potentials alone can not take you to a greater height, there are other factors be it natural and artificial than combine with your potential to take you far.....in football which is a team work, you are as good as your players...ever wonder why Pep buys the best? He was looking forward to improve from last season's position with addition of better players not subtraction of his best players.... like it or not... you depend on some people to get up there irrespective of your potentials

But I don’t think it’s the manager selling them, these are players wish and you can’t keep a player that’s willing to leave, nevrr.

The problem when they sell those players they don't buy replacements, for example they sold isak and they struggled throughout the season
