Slavia Prague are awaiting tonight's match against FC Barcelona in the Champions League group stage with maximum enthusiasm and concentration, but also as a great football occasion for the enormous stature of the visitors and in particular the visit of Lionel Messi.
Hence, the press conference offered by Slavia Prague coach Jindrich Trpisovsky, and a defender from the Czech team, Vladimir Coufal, lent itself to a moment of joviality.
"As a child, I was a follower of Barcelona, and I hope to take a good memory (from the game). I will love playing against them," said Coufal.
Coufal must face Antoine Griezmann on the turf of the Eden Arena tonight, and to express the difficulty of stopping him, Coufal simply remembered: "He is a world champion, so there is no need to add anything else.”
Asked about Messi and the potential arguments over the Barça captain's shirt, Coufal said: "I was already waiting for this question. We don't want to make a deal out of this, with six of us chasing him at the end of the game," Coufal said.
Then, Trpisovsky joked: "I will take it for you.” The player quickly replied: "But he’s a Liverpool fan.”
And going back to the press, Coufal seriously concluded: "We do not have a deal (who will ask for the shirt), but we agree that we are not here (in the game) for a laugh.”
