Real Madrid coach Santiago Solari drew the ire of the local press on Saturday when he defended his side's draw at Villarreal in midweek.
Solari said draws should not be undervalued and pointed out that Madrid have managed to climb to ninth in the league since he took charge.
However, they aren't the sort of things the Madrid media want to hear. Draws are dropped points and fourth is not fitting for Los Blancos.
"We've been in four competitions so far, including the Club World Cup, and we try to approcah them with everything that is nevessary because the opposition and the characteristics [of the games] change," he said.
"But the players are not machines that are plugged in. We have to recharge and no one has played more games than us. It is difficult but the players are giving their all.
"In La Liga the important thing is to keep climbing the table, to get from ninth to fourth has been difficult, we want to keep going -- La Liga is long.
"We must not underestimate [the importance of] draws, even though we want to win every game. We are happy with what we are doing. We must go out and battle every game and take on this difficult challenge."

This Solaris statement makes me laugh you say you are coaching one of the best teams in the world and yet you say draws are important you are now seven points less than barca but look at what you are saying draws will not do you anything to my point of view 1 from 3 that is like nothing ooh come on
