Solari: What the public expects to happen hasn't happened on many occasions

Al Ain lie in wait for Real Madrid, and coach Santiago Solari has warned against complacency.

The Argentinian was keen to point out that quite often what the football going public expect to happen, doesn't, as happened when Al Ain defeated River Plate.

"So many times that what the public expected to happen doesn't happen," Solari said to reporters in his pre-match press conference.

"It's a sign that these games are more difficult than people think.

"There is always a way of thinking that the centre of world football is in the big European leagues."

His team are at least ready and willing to battle for another trophy, though they'll need to do so without Marco Asensio, who has been ruled out for three weeks.

"All are very happy and though they have a lot of experience in finals, they've got that tingling feeling again," he continued.

"On Saturday a title is played for and we have to put all our energy into it."

Solari is under no illusions as to what Al Ain will bring to the game.

"They use their weapons," he added.

"A lot of blockers at the corners, fouls from the side...

"The Tunisians were quite angry with Al Ain, who were trying to deceive the referee in specific actions."
