South American qualifiers of the 2022 World Cup 'will be postponed within hours'

The coronavirus continues causing suspensions of sporting events and the next to become official all points out that it will be that of the South American qualifiers for the World Cup.

TyC claims that the decision to postpone the first few rounds of South American qualifying for the 2022 World Cup because of the coronavirus is expected within hours.

This affects all South American players who had to travel to their respective countries after the European leagues were stopped by the international break.

One of them, Arturo Vidal, like the rest of Chileans from Europe, was going to be quarantined if he traveled to his country, as reported by Chilean health minister Jaime Mañalich.
