According to Mundo Deportivo on Thursday, Spain's High Council for Sport has referred La Liga president Javier Tebas' comments about Real Madrid to the Administrative Court of Sport. Tebas posted on social media on October 16, comparing Real Madrid's communication methods to "the propaganda mechanisms used by Goebbels — Nazi Germany's Minister of Propaganda."

The Administrative Court of Sport will now decide whether to open proceedings; if it finds no legal basis, the case may be dismissed. If proceedings are opened, the court will gather all evidence and issue a statement of charges, allowing Tebas to present his defense. Given the severity of the alleged offense, he could face a public warning, a fine between €600.01 and €3,000, or disqualification from holding sports positions for one to two years.

If proceedings are opened, this would be the third case against the La Liga president in recent years, with the previous two concluding without penalties. The first case, initiated in July 2024, stemmed from a complaint by Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez, who alleged discrimination against Real Madrid during La Liga's 2021 General Assembly, where a CVC agreement was also discussed.

The Administrative Court of Sport partially upheld the complaint, finding that the La Liga president called the assembly on August 12 with insufficient notice (less than 10 days) and without stating reasons for urgency. The court dismissed complaints regarding alleged failure to distribute documents concurrently with the assembly's convocation and accusations of a potential conflict of interest. The case concluded in September with a public warning.

The second case, also involving the La Liga president, concluded without penalties on July 30. The Administrative Court of Sport opened proceedings after receiving a complaint filed in August 2024 by Miguel Galán, president of the National Center for Football Coach Training in Spain, addressed to José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, president of Spain's High Council for Sport. Galán requested that the La Liga president be found in serious breach of his duty of neutrality and even sought his removal, citing his public disclosure of financial information and data submitted by Barcelona in accordance with the "Regulations for the Preparation of Budgets for Clubs and Public Limited Sports Companies" in a statement published on La Liga's official website on April 2, 2024. A year later, the case was closed without penalties.
