Spain scraped past Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-0 in Sunday's friendly in Gran Canaria, substitute Brais Mendez with the decisive goal.
Match Events
16' CHANCE! Asensio's shot wide out
A teasing cross is nodded away only as far as Asensio, who hammers at goal. His shot is deflected behind.
40' CHANCE! Isco's shot saved
This is comfortable in the end for Sehic, but Isco might well do better as he cuts inside and drags a tame effort too close to the goalkeeper.
43' CLOSE! Asensio's header wide out
Asensio should do better! He's unmarked as he climbs to meet a left-wing cross, but a feeble header drops wide.
58' INCREDIBLE! What an unbelievable miss from Morata
Incredible! He's had a poor evening and yet has to score from inside the six-yard box. He runs onto a rebound from Asensio's low drive and somehow bundles the ball wide.
78'GOAL! Spain 1-0 Bosnia-Herzegovina (Mendez)
Finally they have the breakthrough! And it's Mendez, the debutant! 1-0 to Spain! Isco goes for goal and, although Sehic saves the initial effort, the ball falls kindly for Mendez to sweep into the net.
Match Report
Debutant Brais Mendez got Spain back to winning ways with a late strike in an unconvincing 1-0 friendly victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina in Gran Canaria.
Celta Vigo midfielder Mendez came off the bench in the second half and needed just 19 minutes to find the back of the net on Sunday, his strike coming after Ibrahim Sehic could only parry Isco's low drive.
Spain's margin of victory should have been wider but Alvaro Morata's toils for La Roja continued as he skewed wide prior to Mendez's winning goal.

All this shows is that Kepa is fricken solid and very promising and a good buy for us in the long term. The result reflects a dreadful game for Spain though going forward. I can tell Bosnia gave them a hard time. Looks like I've once again defended Morata in vain and now once and for all have moved on from thinking there is a good player in there. Its clear that without Costa in strike, Spain really can't attack. Really poor...

1-0 win. That means Bosnia played well. Spain was not that much good. I didn't see the match. So that is only a guess according to the scoreline. Belgium vs Switzerland was a phenomenal match. I was busy watching that. Congratulations Spain
