According to Mundo Deportivo, Rafael Louzán, president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), strongly condemned acts of violence that occurred in Tenerife during his speech before the draw for the first round of the Copa del Rey.

Louzán "strongly condemned" the acts of violence that took place before the Atlético Güímar vs. Sporting Hortaleza match during the Copa del Rey preliminary round on Monday. The second leg of the Copa del Rey preliminary round, held in Güímar in the Canary Islands, was canceled before it even began due to the home team's fans engaging in violence against the away team, including threats, verbal abuse, and physical assaults.

Louzán stated in his speech: "I want to strongly condemn the acts of violence that occurred yesterday in the preliminary round of the Copa del Rey. I hope that this type of incident does not happen again, because the Copa del Rey is a celebration and should not be stained by such actions in Tenerife."
