Real Betis midfielder Sergio Canales has been in exceptional form this season and that has caused many people to argue that he deserves a call-up to the Spanish national team.
Following Betis' 2-0 win away at Real Valladolid on Sunday, Canales spoke about how proud it would make him to be called up and those at Las Rozas, at least in their social media department, did not take too long to answer the 28-year-old.
"Hey, Real Betis!" the Spanish national team's Twitter post began.
"On 15 March we will publish the squad list and so on... [Canales will be] waiting, no?"
Canales has played in all of the youth categories for Spain but is yet to make his debut with the men's side.

He deserves it, he is a crack ... Even if he has nothing to do, they also have to raise the clause that if no English team comes, he puts the 30 kilos and goodbye Canales ...

There is no more blind than the one who does not want to see .... Canales is now above almost all the midfielders of Spain .... the only problem is that he is in Betis .... and of course ... a the selection goes first those of Madrid and Barcelona are playing or are substitutes ..... but if Luis Enrique is honored he will call him even if he does not play ..... because we remember that Rubén Castro at the time was the only forward scorer more in way and was left with the desire ...
