Barca will not sign alvarez even if atletico open to negotiate it will just be a trapped cuz atletico is a stubborn club and we all know this right from the pitch they always wanted to fight people not a game, so even if atletico soften their stance it will not end well between them and barca because they have a bitter intention not sale, they’ll probably demand a fee that is too high to be consider, forget about €500m release clause, even €200m is too high for a player of alvarez quality, they knew this but i suggest if it will be barca it will be very difficult to conclude the deal without asking for a figure around €180-200m for their player even though they know only striker’s of haaland and mbaffe quality can cost this much, so is better barca let go and move forward. However, it is normal if a club dont want lose one of his best player but beleive it or not an elite club like madrid, barca, bayern, liverpool, man city, psg, arsenal, man u can never go against a player wish as long as he’s not willing to play for them cuz they already has this principle in mind that “no player is bigger than a club” if one of these club try to convince their star to stay and he keep firm they’ll never go against his wishes as long as no agreement is reach and he’s not happy with them anymore because no matter how good he’s there’s once a better player than him and whichever position he play
