According to Mundo Deportivo, Balde's future is entering a decisive phase. His agent, Jorge Mendes, is gathering offers and sounding out major European clubs, with the aim of making a decision in December.

Both the full-back and those around him are well aware that the best option is to leave Barcelona in the winter transfer window and find a project that will allow him to reclaim a starting spot. Araujo, who successfully increased his market value during his loan spell at Liverpool, serves as a reference. Balde also hopes to follow a similar path, regain consistent playing time and prove his potential in a team that firmly backs him. Mendes is in contact with various clubs, assessing their interest, and will analyze the options with the player in the coming weeks.

Barcelona hope for a transfer fee close to €40 million, but the agent believes a loan with an option to buy is more feasible, with the option potentially becoming an obligation if certain conditions are met. At the very least, Barcelona hope such a loan would increase the player's value, allowing for a sale in the summer that would bring in a very large net profit. As he came through the youth academy, any sale would be pure profit for the club.

Premier League is the top choice

Mendes is focusing in particular on the Premier League market. Liverpool, Aston Villa and Manchester United have all been informed of the conditions of a potential deal, but none has made a final decision yet. Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City are also considered alternatives, but any move involving these two clubs will depend on potential departures in the winter window.

In Italy, Roma and Juventus have met with Mendes to inquire about the conditions of a deal. The biggest obstacle is the player's salary, which would be difficult to fit into either club's wage structure.

Monaco still offer a possible route in France, while in Portugal, Benfica showed strong interest last summer, but they have since become a lower-priority option because they are currently well stocked at left-back.

Barcelona's strategic move

Balde's departure carries special significance for Barcelona's squad-building plans. The club believes that the wage savings from this operation, combined with the roughly €4 million of room currently available under the salary cap, could be crucial to registering new signings in the January transfer window. The sporting management wants to use this financial room to bring in a left-footed centre-back or a high-level full-back capable of playing multiple positions, both of which are considered priority targets for Flick to strengthen the squad.

Therefore, although Barcelona prefer a straight sale, they are also willing to consider options that immediately free up wage space while securing future income. Mendes now has several weeks to organize these options and present the most attractive proposals to Balde. A decision will be made in December, with the goal of finalizing his departure in the January transfer window.
