Portuguese newspaper A Bola reports that Hidemasa Morita is still jobless after two months and has not yet decided on his next club, having rejected offers from Ligue 1 and the Middle East.
Portuguese newspaper A Bola reports that Hidemasa Morita said goodbye to Sporting CP after his contract expired, and his future remains uncertain. He has rejected approaches from several French and Middle Eastern clubs.
Hidemasa Morita bid farewell to Sporting CP on May 15th, and his future remains undecided. After his contract expired, the 31-year-old Japanese midfielder, with ambitions to start a new chapter in his career, has been training alone, waiting for an attractive offer to continue playing in a high-level league.
What is certain is that time is passing, and A Bola understands that Morita has already rejected approaches from several French and Middle Eastern clubs. The midfielder, who played 166 times for Sporting CP in the past four seasons, still prioritizes teams in the Premier League, La Liga, and Serie A. A return to Portugal is not being considered, as he himself emphasized when he left Sporting.
He wrote on social media at the time: "Green and white blood will always flow in my veins, and I will never wear the jersey of another club in Portugal. I love you all."
