Tebas responds to Real Madrid statement: "Manipulation and falsehoods are your norm"

LaLiga president Javier Tebas responded to Real Madrid on social media, stating that recent events have proven his previous accusations of the club's media manipulation tactics to be accurate. He also criticized Real Madrid TV and banners targeting him displayed in the Bernabéu stands.

Tebas' full response

In just two days, recent developments have validated my judgment.

In an article published on October 16, I pointed out that Tomás González-Martín, a journalist for El Debate, was effectively a "mouthpiece" for Real Madrid's narrative. On that same day, the club issued a statement disclaiming responsibility by claiming these remarks came from "journalists unrelated to the club."

In my response on October 16, I made a clear request: that they publicly refute claims linking this matter to the "Negreira case" (which the journalist attributed to internal club sources) and address accusations that "LaLiga deliberately harmed Real Madrid's interests through fixture scheduling." I demanded they publish a complete list of all fixture adjustment requests made by Real Madrid, including how many were granted – a list that must contain all records, even those approved requests that would undermine their narrative of being "persecuted."

On October 18, Real Madrid TV attacked me again, and an official fan group—directly coordinated and supervised by the club—unfurled a banner reading: "This is not football, this is Tebas and Negreira's dirty work." Will they again claim this was merely the personal opinion of someone "unrelated to the club"? This behavior, entirely consistent with the narrative I previously exposed, speaks for itself.

What is particularly troubling is that they are targeting specific individuals, turning them into objects of attack. In my October 16 article, I quoted the phrase: "I will turn the entire Real Madrid fanbase against you, making it impossible for you to walk down the street." What occurred on October 18 precisely validates this point: they deliberately transform criticism of club management into hostility from supporters toward specific individuals.

This practice of targeting individuals, spreading slander, and inciting hostility is deeply irresponsible. Those in positions of power must understand the consequences of the statements they promote and amplify.

Consider another example: the content they published on October 17, involving so-called "international media." Reports from Reuters, BBC, and L'Équipe—which Real Madrid itself even retweeted—actually revealed that Real Madrid initiated these inquiries proactively. They reframed their own demands as "support" for those demands, which is pure manipulation. As I noted in another article, one need only read their published content to see this clearly.

Real Madrid's management is steeped in manipulation and deception—evident even in their official statements and published content. They fuel discontent, repeatedly level accusations, target specific individuals, and when these tactics are exposed, they portray themselves as victims.

They are welcome to continue demanding my resignation. However, since October 16, they have provided no response regarding their sources, the substance of their accusations, or the fixture scheduling concerns I raised.

Everything they do each day further confirms the facts I previously exposed.
