The 1990 Copa del Rey final saw Barcelona beat Real Madrid 2-0, but it wasn't just another trophy for the cabinet.
This victory was special for the Blaugrana because it was the first time Johan Cruyff's Dream Team had managed to beat Real Madrid's Quinta del Buitre.
That Quinta referred to Los Blancos' fearsome core of Emilio Butragueno, Manolo Sanchis, Martin Vazquez, Michel and Miguel Pardeza.
However, Barcelona's team contained stars of their own, with Ronald Koeman able to stifle Real Madrid's prolific attack.
Also in blue and red stripes were Michael Laudrup, Jose Mari Bakeri, Txiki Begiristain, Eusebio, Andoni Zubizarreta and Guillermo Amor.
"Madrid had a super team back then that had been formed over the years and really knew how to play," remembered Amor.
Barcelona were also starting to become attractive on the eye under the leadership of Cruyff.
"I think we played really good football. We wanted that total football, with a 4-3-3 with wingers," Amor said.
"We took lots of risks and that made us lose more matches than we wanted to. I remember coming into the final and talk of changes being made if we didn't win.
"In the 1990 final against Madrid, we showed that we could be a winning team, we started to believe in ourselves."
Before 1990, Barcelona had won 38 trophies since LaLiga started in 1928. Since then, they've won another 51, including five European Cups.

But how many of those have u watched yourself? I was talking abt boasting over sth u just found. I have watched 4 of Barca's 5 UCLs win for instance,and I can boast watching them. Some of u fans come here and say Madrid,L/pool etc have won many UCLs as if u watched ,or u were there when they won them .

Madrid are serial winners ,no doubt. The other day I was watching games played in the 1950s,1960s...and there was this period that Real Madrid won like 5 in a row now-UCL in a 4 team format. It made me think most of their cup wins are from very ,very long time ago. Anyway history is history. Messi is the top scorer and assist provider in El Classico history,and that is history for instance. I just feel Real Madrid fans should not boast abt Real Madrid's UCL and La Liga total wins since they didn't watch the majory of them. Barca,for instance,may have won the same if not more ,UCLs in the last 20 years and more La Ligas. Let's boast over sth we have witnessed. Not very the dinosaur period.
