The mayor of Barcelona will witness the renovation results in the VIP box

After countless inspections and document exchanges between FC Barcelona and the City Council, the return to the Spotify Camp Nou is now a reality. 

Joan Laporta, the Barça president, and Jaume Collboni, the mayor of Barcelona, will celebrate together today in the front row of the stadium's VIP box. The mayor will see firsthand the success of the ongoing renovation of the Barça stadium.

A temperature of 12 degrees Celsius is expected at kickoff for the match against Athletic Bilbao. Rain is not expected, which will affect those in the VIP box at every match played until after the summer of 2027, when the roof will be installed.

Intrigue surrounding Jon Uriarte

Another point of interest will be the Athletic Bilbao delegation, headed by president Jon Uriarte. As the match is early in the afternoon, there won't be a long meal but there will be a shorter reception in the VIP box at the Spotify Camp Nou.
