Xavi Hernandez has been linked as a possible replacement for Ronald Koeman as Barcelona coach after some poor results.
'Marca' says that, unlike other occasions, this time his signings is "possible", but for that to happen, certain things must be cleared up first.
Barca's start to the 2021-22 season has not been as expected. They were defeated 0-3 by Bayern Munich in the Champions League and they drew 1-1 with Granada in their last league match.
Those results have put Ronald Koeman in the firing line. His future as Barca coach is up in the air.
Xavi Hernandez is one of the people whose name has been on the list of possible replacements for the Dutchman. Despite the fact 'RAC1' rued out the possibility of him succeeding Koeman, 'Marca' reports that his signing is "possible."
That said, for Xavi to take over the reigns at Barcelona, a series of conditions have to be met. The former player would have to talk to the board to talk about certain issues before accepting the role.
Firstly, Xavi will refuse to negotiate if there is a coach already in charge. If Barca finally go for Xavi, they will have to dismiss the previous boss first, in this case, Koeman.
Once this has been done, Xavi will talk to Laporta. 'Marca' says that the now Al Sadd coach and the Barca president are friends so Xavi will listen to what he has to say. If he likes Laporta's project, he will be willing to sit on the bench even if it happens during a season.
Lastly, before saying yes to Barca, Xavi would have to talk to his club, Al Sadd. There he feels comfortable and happy. Initially, his plan was to stay there until 2023 and that is why he recently renewed with them. If he changes his mind, the coach would talk to the board. 'Marca' says that his club "would not have a problem in letting him go."
It remains to be seen whether Barcelona opt for Xavi or not. If they do so, this time they have a real chance of getting him, according to the Madrid based newspaper.

Barcelona's reconstruction should have started way back in 2016, Xavi, Iniesta, Alves, Mascherano and Neymar left, A project to rebuild a team should have started instead of patching up flaws putting all the pressure on Messi to carry the team. Then Suarez Rakitic and now Messi himself are gone, No one to blame for failures now, no scapegoat. The manner of Champions league exits should have been warning enough. 2-0, 3-0, 3-0,4-0, 8-2, 4-1...

Xavi is still new to coaching. The thing is if he comes to Barça at this point of time, can he handle the pressure? Will he be able to lead the club to better position? Pirlo or lampard are good examples of similar situations in recent times. As a legend of the club he wouldn't like to come and have a sour taste at the club he has loved so much. Koeman should be given time this season if he has a plan and agrees to stop talking. 😒

I think Koeman should be given the chance until the return of the injury players. The like of Dembele,Fati,Aguro, Braithwait,Pedri, and the rest. I believe if all those injury players are back,he will have no excuse for failure...

The problem of Barcelona can not be solved by Xavi. He will still fail.
