Toni Kroos announces retirement: How many trophies has he won?

The legendary Real Madrid midfielder will officially retire after representing Germany at this summer’s European Championships.

Real Madrid and Germany midfielder Toni Kroos has announced that he will retire after this summer’s European Championships, bringing to a close one of the most decorated careers in modern soccer.

Kroos made his professional debut with German giants Bayern Munich in 2002 and would go on to represent the team for seven years. In 2014, after helping the German national team to the World Cup, he made the move to Real Madrid.

He has been a key part of the Madrid midfield ever since, spending eight trophy-laden seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu. He has won the Champions League four times with Madrid, in addition to the European title his won with Bayern as part of their 2012/13 treble-winning team.

Over the course of his stellar career Kroos has won an incredible 32 major trophies. Of those, ten were won with Bayern and 21 with Real Madrid. The 2014 World Cup with Germany completes his haul.
