Speaking on his podcast, Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has teased the potential arrival of Kylian Mbappe this summer.
He said,'I have a new dog. What about the turtles? I don't forget about them, but they haven't arrived yet. They are still in the planning, a new dog doesn't mean that the turtles won't arrive. That's for sure. They will arrive.'
It must be noted that Mbappe has been given the nickname 'Donatello' of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and has often been referred to as a turtle by his teammates.
Mbappe has been completely frozen out at PSG after his refusal to renew his contract or accept a departure this summer.
And, Real Madrid have been touted as the favourites to sign the 24-year-old World Cup winner, despite there having been no tangible movement from the clubโs end with regard to signing him.

In Mbappe contract, there is a clause of extension that wasn't signed when he signed for the previous new contract. If he doesn't want to sign the extension clause, the club should leave him alone. You don't force someone against his wish. Forcing simply means, you are telling the whole world that Mbappe is bigger that PSG as a club. Removing his poster from the stadium, his jersey from the club shopping centre and expelling him from the main team squad, to me it looks childish. All of these acts, wouldn't make him to sign the new contract but rather trigger him to leave after the expiration of his current contract. I expected the club to be more diplomatic in this issue with Mbappe.
