Highly rated PSG teenager Xavi Simons is seeking a loan switch away from the French capital. His deal with PSG ends in the summer and his agent, Mino Raiola, has pushed for the move as part of his demands for him to renew with the club, according to The Sun.

7:00 GMT: Bruno dismisses Barcelona rumours

Reports in Portugal linked Bruno Fernandes with a switch to Barcelona, should the Catalans fail in their bid to land Erling Haaland, but the player himself has moved to distance himself from such talk.

Fernandes wrote on Instagram that the news must've been a 'Dia de los inocentes' story (equivalent of April Fool's Day) and criticised the press.

6:00 GMT: Cavani to stay at United until season end

Ralf Rangnick, the interim Manchester United coach, revealed at a press conference that the sought-after Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani confirmed that he would end the season with the Red Devils and that he had no plans to move in January.

"I told him that, if it was up to me, I would want him to stay. He came into my office and we talked for almost half an hour and he told me that he would definitely stay and that he would want to stay until the end of the season," Rangnick explained.
