Paris Saint-Germain are stepping up their bid to secure free agent Sergio Ramos but are not ready to offer the two-year deal he wants, according to reports in France.
Ramos stood firm on his demands in negotiation with Real Madrid and eventually the Spanish giants waved him goodbye after refusing to bow to his terms.
PSG's interest was said to be initially overstated but French outlet L'Equipe claim sporting director Leonardo is now intensifying the possibility of signing the 35-year-old.
Talks between Ramos' representatives and PSG has said to have intensified but the main sticking point is once again the length of contract.
The French giants are said to be more set on a one-year deal with the option of a further year.
Ramos has consistently intimated that he wants the security of a two-year deal given his age.
Spanish outlet Marca reported that there are two other unnamed teams pursuing Ramos and rival interest could see PSG cave to his demands in a bid to add a serial winner to the dressing room.
Ramos is a four-time UEFA Champions League winner and PSG's Achilles heel in the competition has been their lack of experience and defensive naivety in the biggest games.
