On June 11th, Beijing time (CEST), England defeated Costa Rica 3-0 in a friendly match. After the match, England's head coach Tuchel was interviewed.
Discussing the match, Tuchel said: "We played very well and deserved to win the match. We should have scored more goals, as we created many chances. The team's attitude, energy, and intensity reached a very high level. Everyone performed well. Today wasn't about the performance of one player, but rather an excellent overall team performance. We want to use such performances to push the team to a higher level, and we clearly did that. We trained hard, pressed well, and were very united as a whole; everything was at a high level."
He continued: "Tonight's match makes me feel very reassured because we are on exactly the right path. The substitute players played a very important role, and the players who didn't play constantly provided encouragement from the bench – that's exactly the state we want to be in. We saw very good substitutes; they were certainly disappointed not to start, but they entered the game in the second half with the same intensity and quality, and they did so against a more fatigued opponent."
Regarding whether he has decided on the starting lineup against Croatia, he said: "Not yet. I still have about six days to decide."
Speaking about preparations for Croatia, Tuchel said: "First, we have another match tomorrow, a friendly, to give playing time to those who didn't play today. Then the players will have a day and a half off to physically and mentally adjust and relax. After that, we'll change locations, head to Kansas, and then start preparing for Croatia. Everything we saw today is exactly what we hoped for and the result we wanted. I am very proud. Next stop, Kansas."

Ya if you continue to play attacking game in real games and not defending. What you practice but never apply in real game!
