Two more in Zaragoza take Kroos' assists total to eight this season

Toni Kroos is performing at a spectacular level.

Next to Casemiro in Real Madrid's midfield, he's driving Los Blancos this season and he has been unleashed in attack, too.

So far this season he has four goals and eight assists, compared to the one goal and six assists he contributed last term.

Against Real Zaragoza he showed just how good he has been with his assists for Raphael Varane and Lucas Vazquez.

Kroos had already done that in the last week, providing the cross for Nacho Fernandez's winner at Real Valladolid.

Three consecutive Real Madrid goals were assisted by the German, which says a lot about his current level of performance and how he has upped his attacking contribution.

Kroos has bounced back to his best level after a subpar campaign in 2018/19, wherein he was one of the players most negatively impacted by the team's poor form.

But Zinedine Zidane and Real Madrid trusted him; they gave him a new contract and he has rewarded their faith.

Real Madrid's No.8 is back, and he's quite possibly playing better than he ever has in his career.
