Until Jan.22nd, all matches of Matchday 7 in the league phase of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League concluded, leading to further changes in the standings.

After Arsenal defeated Inter Milan on the road, they secured seven wins from seven matches and have already qualified for the Round of 16. Today, Bayern Munich also clinched a spot in the top eight with 18 points after beating Union Saint-Gilloise, likewise advancing to the Round of 16 ahead of schedule.

Real Madrid and Liverpool both earned 15 points after winning their respective matches this round, putting them just one step away from direct qualification to the knockout stage.

Although Tottenham Hotspur have been performing poorly in the Premier League, they have shown strong form in the Champions League and currently sit fifth in the standings with 14 points, holding the initiative for direct qualification to the knockout phase.

Paris Saint-Germain, Newcastle United, Chelsea, Barcelona, Sporting CP, Manchester City, Atlético Madrid, and Atalanta are all tied on 13 points, setting up an intense battle among these eight teams for a place in the top eight.

Inter Milan and Juventus, the two Italian clubs, each have 12 points and are ranked 14th and 15th respectively, while Borussia Dortmund in 16th place has 11 points; these teams can no longer rely solely on their own results to reach the top eight.

Galatasaray (17th) and Qarabağ (18th) are both on 10 points, and their chances of reaching the top eight are now extremely slim.

Starting from Marseille in 19th place down to Ajax in 32nd, these 14 teams can no longer finish in the top eight; their objective in the final matchday will be to secure a spot in the knockout phase play-offs.

Eintracht Frankfurt, Slavia Prague, Villarreal, and Kairat Almaty have already been eliminated from contention for the knockout phase play-offs, so their final matches will be purely for the final honour.
